Responsibilities:
|
Perform the following SQL Server database administration duties: design and build instances, troubleshoot and diagnose
database issues, optimize database performance, backup and recovery, capacity planning, and other operational tasks.
Deploy databases following change management processes. Design highly available environments to support business continuity
strategies. Document all programs/systems including system changes and maintenance plans. Prioritize and execute tasks in a
high-pressure operational environment. Facilitate communication between infrastructure and application development teams.

Requirements:
|
- BA/BS in Computer Science or a related area
- Seven (7)+ years of operational DBA experience
- Working knowledge of ETL tools (SSIS and/or Informatica)
- Experience with the data warehouse lifecycle
- SQL Server 2005 certification preferred, solid understanding a must
- Strong interest in exploring the database architecture field
